VAT Specialist JIGSAW HR CONSULTANTS FZE

Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounting with strong exposure to VAT compliance

Job Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.

Prepare, review, and file VAT returns in compliance with applicable regulations.

Ensure accurate calculation, recording, and reporting of VAT transactions.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of VAT laws, rules, and amendments.

Reconcile VAT accounts and resolve discrepancies.

Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and relevant authorities when required.

Assist in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities.

Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for VAT and financial transactions.

Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen compliance.

Key Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in VAT accounting.

Strong knowledge of VAT laws and regulations (India GST or UAE VAT, depending on location).

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho, SAP, or similar).

Advanced MS Excel skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional certification (CA Inter, ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is an added advantage.

Experience in both VAT and GST will be preferred for cross-border compliance.
