Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The appointed faculty will typically contribute to:

  • Design studios
  • Advanced environmental systems and design integration courses
  • Teaching aligned with the MSc DICE program and its focus on circular and regenerative design
  • Integrate environmental and regenerative design methodologies into teaching
  • Supervise and mentor students in design-led and research-informed work
  • Contribute to the academic development of sustainability-focused curricula
  • Engage with the School s research agenda on circular economy and regenerative systems
  • Support academic initiatives, reviews, and interdisciplinary collaborations

The role requires the ability to embed environmental intelligence within design processs, moving beyond compliance toward regenerative and performance-driven design frameworks.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver one design studio and supporting taught courses (up to 12 credits)

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCES
Applicants should demonstrate:

  • A PhD in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or related field, with a focus on environmental or regenerative design
  • A strong record of academic research and publications in areas such as:
    • regenerative design
    • environmental performance
    • positive energy districts
    • climate-responsive architecture
  • Proven teaching experience in internationally recognized institutions
  • Ability to connect technical environmental knowledge with architectural design studios
  • Professional experience in sustainability consulting or environmental design practice is highly desirable

    PREFERRED PROFILE
  • Have previous teaching experience at CUD
  • Demonstrate expertise in environmental systems and design integration within studio teaching
  • Have an established track record in regenerative design research and applied methodologies
  • Bring experience across academic, research, and professional practice environments
  • Contribute to innovative pedagogical frameworks linking digital tools and sustainability
