Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Waiter / Waitress ensures that every guest enjoys a pleasant dining experience by providing efficient, courteous, and professional service. This position requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team within a fast-paced hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables when required.
  • Present menus, take accurate food and beverage orders, and ensure prompt service.
  • Serve meals and beverages according to Accor s service standards.
  • Prepare tables and service areas for meal periods and functions.
  • Set up and clear tables, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
  • Handle special requests, dietary needs, and guest complaints with professionalism.
  • Ensure that all operating equipment is properly maintained and cleaned.
  • Perform side duties and restocking tasks as per checklist requirements.
  • Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
  • Assist with banquet or event setup and service as assigned.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely order delivery.
  • Perform cashiering duties, handle billing, and process payments when assigned.
  • Maintain a positive and professional relationship with guests and colleagues.
  • Be knowledgeable about menu items, promotions, and hotel facilities.
  • Report any incidents or maintenance issues to management promptly.
  • Attend daily briefings and required training sessions.

Desired Candidate Profile

Previous experience as a waiter or waitress in a 4- or 5-star hotel or restaurant preferred.

Basic knowledge of food and beverage service techniques.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.

Well-groomed and professional appearance at all times.

Friendly, courteous, and customer-focused attitude.

Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.

Strong teamwork skills with attention to detail.

Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
