Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service:
- Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
- Present menus, explain specials, and make recommendations when required.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen/bar promptly.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while ensuring correct presentation and portioning.
- Check back with guests to ensure satisfaction and handle any complaints professionally.
Operations:
- Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware, and glasses.
- Ensure that all areas are clean, well-organized, and ready for service.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and allergens.
- Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations.
Upselling & Sales:
- Suggestively sell food and beverage items to enhance guest experience and increase revenue.
- Inform guests about promotions, events, and specialty dishes.
Team Collaboration:
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff for timely service.
- Assist colleagues during busy hours to maintain smooth operations.
Cash Handling:
- Process guest bills accurately and handle payments according to hotel standards.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; F&B training is an advantage.
Experience: Previous experience as a waiter/waitress in a hotel or restaurant preferred.
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability
Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and carry trays/plates.
Personality & Attitude:
- Positive, friendly, and guest-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Comfortable serving in outdoor/beach areas.
Knowledge of cocktails and bar service is a plus.
Ability to handle high-energy party environments with a smile.
