Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of food service within hospital wards, ensuring timely and accurate meal delivery to patients.
  • Manage and train ward-based catering staff, including performance evaluations, scheduling, and addressing any staffing issues.
  • Implement and maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards, complying with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Monitor and manage food waste, optimizing portion control and minimizing unnecessary expenses within the ward environment.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • A diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field provides a strong foundation.
  • Possess a Food Safety and Hygiene Certification (e.g., HACCP) to ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Prior experience (3-5 years) in a supervisory role within a hospital catering environment is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in a hospital catering environment to understand the specific demands and challenges.
