Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in receiving and unloading shipments, ensuring accuracy in the quantity and quality of items received.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas, optimizing space and accessibility for efficient retrieval.
- Pick and pack orders with precision, adhering to quality standards and ensuring timely dispatch to customers.
- Perform regular inventory counts and report discrepancies to management, contributing to accurate stock management.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts, safely and efficiently, while adhering to safety protocols.
- Support the loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, promoting a safe working environment for all staff.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, preferably 1-2 years, showcasing familiarity with industry practices.
- Forklift certification is a plus, demonstrating the ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory management.
- Basic understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), enhancing efficiency in tracking and managing inventory.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.
- Effective communication skills, enabling clear coordination with team members and supervisors.
- High school diploma or equivalent, providing basic literacy and numeracy skills essential for warehouse tasks.
