Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Welder performs high-quality welding on pressure vessels, tanks, and structural components for aircraft refueling vehicles, ensuring compliance with ASME and aviation standards.

  • Fabricating, assembling, and repairing pressure vessels, boilers, and tanks.

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.

  • Using welding techniques such as TIG, MIG, and stick (SMAW) to join metal parts.

  • Preparing materials, which may include cutting, fitting, and cleaning.

  • Performing welds in various positions (e.g., flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead).

  • Inspecting completed welds to ensure they meet quality and code standards.

  • Following safety protocols and working in compliance with industry codes like ASME.

  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area

Desired Candidate Profile

Educational Qualifications:

  • Governed by ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) Section IX

Experience:

  • Previous experience in welding and fabrication, especially with pressure vessels.

Behavioral Skills:

  • Detail-oriented, team player, and good communication skills.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in multiple welding processes, typically MIG, TIG, and Stick (SMAW).

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications.

  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting to 30 kgs and working in various positions, including at heights.
