Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to ensure adherence to financial controls and identify potential financial risks within the organization.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets to provide insights into the company's financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Liaise with external auditors, providing necessary documentation and support during the audit process.
  • Prepare and file tax returns, including VAT, corporate tax, and other relevant taxes, ensuring compliance with UAE tax laws.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all financial reporting requirements.
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of financial accounting, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UAE regulations.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and maintain financial integrity.
  • Provide financial advice and support to management on financial matters, including investment decisions and cost control.
  • Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and training to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations in the UAE and ensure the company's compliance.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in the UAE.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of UAE VAT and corporate tax regulations.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Exhibits excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
  • Displays leadership qualities, with experience in managing and mentoring a team.
  • Demonstrates a high level of integrity and ethical conduct.
