Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef / Main Cook in daily kitchen operations

  • Support in cleaning, cutting, marinating, and preparing seafood (fish, prawns, crabs, etc.)

  • Maintain proper hygiene and food safety standards at all times

  • Ensure kitchen equipment and workstations are clean and organized

  • Help in basic cooking tasks such as frying, grilling, and plating

  • Monitor stock levels and inform the chef about shortages

  • Assist in receiving and storing deliveries properly

  • Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation standards

  • Support during peak hours to ensure timely service

  • Comply with UAE food safety regulations and kitchen policies

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a restaurant kitchen (preferably seafood)

  • Basic knowledge of seafood cleaning and preparation

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Physically fit and able to stand for long hours

  • Team player with a positive and hardworking attitude

  • Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and safety standards

  • Willingness to learn and grow in the culinary field

  • Good communication skills (basic English; Arabic is an advantage)

  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
