Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in preparing and cooking meals according to recipes and specifications.
- Ensure food is prepared and presented to the highest standards, maintaining the restaurant's quality and brand image.
- Follow food safety and hygiene guidelines at all times, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive work atmosphere.
- Manage and maintain an inventory of ingredients and supplies, ensuring an adequate stock for daily operations.
- Assist in menu planning and development, offering creative input and suggestions.
- Handle food preparation tasks efficiently, including chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and utensils, ensuring a safe and hygienic workspace.
- Adhere to the restaurant's policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely and accurate food preparation.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Assistant Cook or in a similar role.
- Proven experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by the restaurant's operations.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
