Assistant Financial Controller Alaberah

Serve as the primary financial advisor to the financial controller, providing actionable insights into business performance.

Prepare and present accurate, timely monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and management reports.

Lead the annual budgeting process and develop rolling financial forecasts based on the company’s project pipeline and backlog.

Monitor and analyze WIP schedules for all active civil, telecom, MEP and LCS, projects to prevent profit fade and ensure accurate percentage-of-completion billing.

Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Estimators to analyze job costs (labor, materials, equipment) against budgets and identify variances early.

Review and approve subcontractor payment certificates, ensuring compliance with back-to-back payment terms and retention policies.

Aggressively manage and forecast cash flow to ensure adequate working capital for ongoing projects.

Manage banking relationships, trade finance facilities (Letters of Credit, Performance Bonds, Advance Payment Guarantees), and optimize facility utilization.

Oversee Accounts Receivable to minimize aging receivables and expedite collections from main contractors and clients.

Design, implement, and enforce strict internal controls to safeguard company assets, particularly materials and equipment on project sites.

Ensure full compliance with UAE VAT laws, Corporate Tax regulations, and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).

Liaise with external auditors to ensure smooth and timely annual financial audits.

Lead, mentor, and evaluate the finance and accounting team (including the Chief Accountant, AP/AR clerks, and payroll officers).
