About The Role

Candidate will be responsible for ensuring healthy and sanitary living conditions for all aquatic animals through the routine maintenance of exhibits, lagoons, and holding pools at the Lost Chambers Aquarium, Dolphin Bay, and Sea Lion Point. Leads and coaches the Scuba Diver team, conducts guest interactive experiences, and supports marine education and conservation initiatives.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Implement all policies and procedures as outlined in the Atlantis Dubai Dive Operations Manual.
  • Supervise and maintain exhibits and habitats both above and below water, including cleaning and maintaining windows (buffing), sand, skimmers, grates, walls, and artefact structures.
  • Ensure all guest and back-of-house areas meet high standards of aesthetics, facilities, and housekeeping.
  • Maintain accurate dive logs and records for personal dives, team dives, and guest dive instruction (Discover Scuba, PADI Open Water, and affiliate courses).
  • Act as surface supervisor for divers and respond as first responder during emergencies.
  • Oversee auxiliary dive activities, including sign-holding and underwater feeding, ensuring adherence to standards.
  • Deliver clear, engaging, and informative safety and educational briefings for guests.
  • Maintain and sanitize all personal and guest dive equipment, carrying out necessary repairs and servicing.
  • Manage equipment servicing schedules, monitor inventory levels, and process supply orders.
  • Network with dive agencies and external vendors as needed.
  • Complete administrative tasks related to guest and staff records, logs, and reporting.
  • Liaise with management and front-of-house to coordinate guest programs, handle enquiries, and resolve service issues.
  • Assist with dive-related procurement and understand departmental budgeting processes.
  • Promote a safe, secure, and healthy work environment for both people and animals.
  • Ensure punctuality, proper uniform, and professional guest interaction at all times.
  • Conduct meetings, training sessions, and rescue drills; maintain current first aid and equipment operation certifications.

About You

Candidate must be a certified PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor or higher, with additional certification as a PADI Emergency First Response Instructor, including oxygen administration, and as a Sea Trek Instructor. Candidate maintains excellent health and physical fitness, demonstrated by successfully passing the annual departmental swim test and a commercial dive medical. With proven supervisory experience, you bring strong leadership skills, a positive attitude, and a solid work ethic, ensuring safety, professionalism, and exceptional guest experiences in every dive operation.
