Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

This role will lead cross-functional projects and operational excellence for Ecommerce Marketplace operations to help deliver a superlative customer experience.

Key responsibilities will include:

1. Warehouse & Fulfillment Operations

  • Oversee daily operations of the fulfillment center — inbound, put-away, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns.
  • Ensure on-time and accurate order fulfillment as per SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
  • Monitor key warehouse KPIs — order accuracy, OTIF (On-Time In-Full), inventory accuracy, dock-to-stock time, and productivity metrics.
  • Coordinate with client Teams to maintain efficient workflow and resolve operational bottlenecks.
  • Drive continuous process improvements to enhance speed, accuracy, and cost optimization.

2. Client Partner Management

  • Act as the primary liaison between the company and the Clients.
  • Review and evaluate performance against agreed SLAs and KPIs.
  • Conduct weekly/monthly performance reviews and corrective action plans.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, compliance, and quality standards.
  • Drive accountability for manpower planning, material handling equipment (MHE), and space utilization.

3. Inventory & Data Management

  • Ensure real-time inventory visibility and accuracy across WMS/ERP systems.
  • Oversee regular cycle counts, stock reconciliations, and audits.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare and present daily/weekly operational dashboards and performance reports.

4. Cost & Budget Control

  • Track and manage operational costs related to fulfillment, packaging, and manpower.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or service.
  • Validate and approve Client billing and ensure adherence to contractual cost structures.

5. Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with internal departments – supply chain planning, procurement, logistics, customer service, and technology.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to supervisors and team leads.
  • Ensure training and development of staff for continuous skill improvement.

6. Compliance, Safety & Quality

  • Ensure all fulfillment operations comply with company policies, safety standards, and statutory norms.
  • Implement best practices in warehouse safety, housekeeping, and inventory management.
  • Support audits (internal/external) and ensure proper documentation and corrective actions.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • 7-10 years of experience in Operations/ Logistics/ Supply Chain or in top tier consulting firm
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Able to influence without direct authority
  • Self-starter who can multi-task in a high energy, fast paced growth environment
  • Analytically driven – able to take define relevant metrics and make data driven decisions

Preferred

  • Qualification in project, lean management, and data science tools.
  • Experience working with teams across geographies and business units
  • Led strategic projects/ continuous improvement projects on SLA/ productivity/ cost
  • Managed stakeholders across levels business and operations
  • Coordinated complex data analyses to drive actionable insights by simplifying complex concepts to stakeholders
