Roles & Responsibilities
Job Overview:
We are looking for a motivated Azure Migration Engineer with at least 1 year of experience to support cloud migration projects. The ideal candidate will assist in migrating on-premises infrastructure, applications, and data to Microsoft Azure while ensuring minimal downtime and smooth transitions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and executing migration of servers, applications, and databases to Azure.
- Support assessment of existing on-premise environments for cloud readiness.
- Work with senior engineers to design Azure-based solutions.
- Perform basic configuration and deployment of Azure resources (VMs, Storage, Networking).
- Monitor migration activities and troubleshoot issues during and after migration.
- Ensure data integrity and security during migration processes.
- Document migration procedures, configurations, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for successful project delivery.
Desired Candidate Profile
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience in cloud computing or IT infrastructure.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure services (VMs, Azure Storage, Virtual Networks).
- Understanding of migration tools like Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery (ASR).
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux server environments.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts (IP, DNS, VPN).
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) certification.
- Exposure to Azure Administrator (AZ-104) concepts.
- Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell or Azure CLI).
- Understanding of backup and disaster recovery concepts.
