Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of pastries, desserts, bread, and other baked goods according to recipes and company standards.
- Design and decorate pastries and desserts to ensure visual appeal and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor oven temperatures, baking times, and product quality to achieve optimal results.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory, monitor ingredient stock levels, and communicate restocking needs.
- Experiment with new recipes and create seasonal or custom menu items.
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill special orders, catering requests, or large batches.
- Follow proper storage and labeling procedures to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
- Stay up-to-date with trends in pastry and dessert preparation.
Skills & Experiences
- Proven experience as a Baker or similar role in a bakery, restaurant, or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Creativity and artistic skill in dessert presentation and decoration.
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to meet production deadlines.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, stand for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Culinary or baking school certification (preferred but not required).
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
