Roles & Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership in Business-Critical Applications

  • Spearhead the design and delivery of business-critical applications and digital platforms tailored to the tourism and entertainment industry.
  • Align business objectives with project priorities related to guest ticketing systems, food and beverage, retail systems, locker system, asset management, time attendance systems, booking and manifest system, driving experiences, go-karting, cafeteria couponing, facial recognition technology, and footfall counting.

Business Requirements Management and Innovation

  • Collaborate with business departments to elicit, document, and prioritize requirements, ensuring solutions align with organizational strategies and guest experience objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for new functionalities to provide a competitive advantage and drive innovation.

Reporting and Strategic Planning Support

  • Provide ad-hoc reporting to support management decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Develop rollout plans for new functionalities and oversee project execution within timelines.

Risk Assessment and Prioritization

  • Conduct risk assessments of proposed solutions, prioritize initiatives to maximize business value and mitigate risks.

Application Performance Optimization

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application architecture and security.
  • Collaborate with the Digital and Technology team for seamless integration.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to application managers and staff.
  • Lead training initiatives to enhance team proficiency.

Financial Accountability

  • Understand and adhere to company financial and procurement policies and procedures.
  • Assist with preparing the Digital and Technology financial budget, presenting proposals for capital Technology projects, and meeting fundraising targets.
  • Actively seek and implement cost-saving programs to provide positive financial results.
  • Leverage systems to increase revenue and ensure critical systems business requirements are addressed promptly to enable business goals.

Software Upgrades and Implementation

  • Drive evaluation, recommendation, and implementation of software upgrades for business-critical applications.

  • Oversee systems including:
    • Guest ticketing (Vivaticket)
    • Food & beverage and retail (InfoGenesis, Eatec)
    • Asset management (Maximo/T-eam)
    • Time attendance (Kronos)
    • Lockers (Gantner)
    • Booking & manifest (Tunn3l)
    • Driving experiences (Viva)
    • Go-karting (BMI)
    • Cafeteria couponing (CMS)
    • Footfall counting (VemCo)
    • Facial recognition (SenseTime, FacePass)

Desired Candidate Profile

Education

  • Essential: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or Digital & Technology
  • Desirable: MBA, PMP/Prince2, DBMS Certification

Experience

  • Essential:
    • 8+ years in Applications Management
    • 3+ years in Applications Development
  • Desirable:
    • 3 years in Project Management

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of business concepts
  • Experience in business process improvement and IT implementations
  • Ability to find innovative solutions to complex technology and business problems
  • Knowledge of UX best practices and mobile applications
  • Data analysis and reporting experience
  • Leadership in application teams
