Role Overview

The Business Director Events & Brand Activations will spearhead Rayqube s Events & Brand Activations vertical, overseeing business strategy, sales growth, client relationships, and project delivery across the GCC.

This is a strategic leadership role that requires a proven track record in business development/commercial leadership within the events, exhibitions, or brand activations industry. The candidate must possess deep regional market knowledge, strong industry networks, and hands-on experience securing and delivering high-value projects.


Key Responsibilities

Business Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and lead the growth strategy for the Events & Brand Activations vertical across UAE and GCC markets.
  • Develop annual sales targets, budgets, and operational plans for the vertical.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align vertical goals with Rayqube s overall business objectives.

Business Development & Revenue Growth

  • Identify, pursue, and secure large-scale events, exhibitions, and brand activation projects.
  • Leverage existing networks and develop new relationships with: Corporate brands (FMCG, retail, automotive, lifestyle, etc.), Marketing & advertising agencies, Government and semi-government entities
  • Lead commercial negotiations, RFP responses, and strategic partnerships.

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the senior point of contact for key clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Oversee account growth and cross-selling of services across Rayqube s offerings.

Project Oversight & Execution Excellence

  • Work with production, creative, and operations teams to ensure world-class execution of events and activations.
  • Monitor budgets, timelines, and quality standards for all projects under the vertical.

Market Intelligence & Competitor Benchmarking

  • Stay informed on GCC events and brand activation trends, emerging formats, and competitive activity.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce innovative formats and technology integrations into client offerings.

Team Leadership & Mentoring

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing business development and account management team.
  • Set KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and promote a culture of excellence and accountability.


Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related discipline; MBA is a plus.
  • 10+ years of proven experience in the events, exhibitions, or brand activations industry, with at least 5 years in a senior business development/commercial leadership role.
  • Strong portfolio of high-value projects delivered in UAE and GCC markets.
  • Extensive network of senior decision-makers in corporate brands, agencies, and government entities.
  • Exceptional negotiation, pitching, and closing skills.
  • Commercially astute with strong P&L management experience.
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across GCC for client meetings and project oversight.
