Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and process meat products according to established standards and recipes.

Ensure proper hygiene and sanitation practices are followed during meat preparation.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety regulations.

Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely delivery of meat products for menu items.

Monitor stock levels and place orders for meat supplies as needed.

Conduct regular quality checks on incoming meat deliveries to ensure freshness and quality.

Train and supervise junior butchers, providing guidance and feedback on best practices.

Implement efficient cutting and portioning techniques to minimize waste.

Stay updated with industry trends and innovative butchery techniques.

Maintain accurate records of meat inventory and production.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Butcher, preferably in a catering or restaurant setting.
  • Expertise in various meat cutting techniques and an understanding of different meat grades.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to lead and mentor others.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods.
  • A valid UAE driving license is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using butcher's tools and equipment.
  • Willingness to undergo further training and development opportunities.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
