RESPONSIBILITIES

Process & configuration

- Understand todays workflows; design clear future ways of working; publish step-by-step guides and checklists.

- Configure CW1 across Forwarding/Customs/Transport/Warehouse/Finance (jobs, milestones, tariffs/charges, VAT/tax, GL mapping, exchange, roles).

- Support multi-entity setup across companies, branches, departments (and divisions/teams) including structures, permissions, numbering, defaults, and reporting segments.

Reporting

- Build and maintain operational & finance packs: SLAs, ETA/ATA slippage, dwell, on-time %, job profitability, charge audits, WIP, AR/AP aging, accruals, VAT checks.

- Set up queries/views/exports and scheduled distributions.

- Perform data validation & reconciliation (SQL/Excel/Power Query); curate hand-offs to BI.

Documents (eDocs & templates)

- Own templates: HBL/MBL, MAWB/HAWB, delivery orders, arrival notices, invoices/credit/debit notes, labels, certificates.

- Branding, multi-language, conditional blocks, barcodes/QR, Incoterms/legal text; numbering/versioning and audit.

- Macros: CW automation macros.

Integration enablement

- Configure Connector/Mapper/eAdaptor routes, transports (SFTP/AS2/HTTPS), validations, retries, and error handling.

- Troubleshoot Universal XML flows; engage developers only when custom APIs are unavoidable.

Platform ownership & governance

- Define standards, environments, release cadence, and change control (CAB, versioning, rollback plans).

- Registry governance: scope/override strategy, auditability, risk controls, and makerchecker approvals.

- Master data stewardship: codes, tariffs, surcharges, parties, permissions, number ranges.

Cutover, quality & adoption

- Data cleansing, CSV/XML loads, dry runs, reconciliation.

- UAT ownership, defect triage, release notes, super-user training, and hyper-care.

Security, compliance & continuity

- Segregation of duties, least-privilege roles, approval flows; data retention & document archiving policies.

- VAT/GCC compliance in documents and billing; audit evidence readiness.

- Disaster recovery and business continuity playbooks (backup strategy, restore tests, environment failover).

Observability & supportability

- Health checks, message/error dashboards, alerting & MTTR targets; runbooks for common incidents.

- Capacity/performance monitoring (job volumes, document throughput, integration queues).

Environment & release management

- Sandboxes vs production promotion flows, test data management.

- Configuration-as-code where feasible; traceable Registry and template changes.

Preferred candidate profile


10+ years in logistics tech; 4--6+ years hands-on CW1 implementations with 2 full rollouts.

- Proven ownership of multi-company/branch/department setups and cross-entity reporting.

- Track record delivering CW1 reports and document templates at scale.

- Working knowledge of Connector/Mapper/eAdaptor and Universal XML (configuration & troubleshooting).

- Strong SQL; advanced Excel (Power Query/Pivot); clear stakeholder communication.


- CargoWise Operator/Specialist/Professional certifications.

- ERP/finance exposure (D365), e-invoicing/compliance.

- GCC/Dubai Trade/PCS familiarity; basic WMS configuration.
