Casino Pit Supervisor

Task Description:

• Monitors all gaming activity in assigned area (tables or slots) to ensure compliance with house rules, gaming regulations and casino policy.
• Supervises and coaches the operational staff (dealers, slot attendants) under their authority: review performance, offer guidance, ensure training and proper conduct.
• Resolves guest complaints or issues within the area; liaise with other departments (security, surveillance, hospitality) as needed.
• Controls and monitors financial/operational aspects of play: keep track of table/till limits, chip inventories, fills/credits, hand-pays, jackpots, etc.
• Ensures internal controls are adhered to: detect cheating or suspicious play, make sure documentation is accurate, ensure machine or table malfunctions are handled properly.
• Maintains a high standard of guest service in the area: ensure staff are courteous, environment is well-presented, guest experience is prioritized.
• Works on scheduling, staffing, shift coverage, sometimes assist in training, work together with management to meet operational goals.
• Depending on the casino, update logs and reports for games, transactions, irregularities, staff issues.
