Purpose of the Role
To manage the day-to-day operation of Kalba Mountain Camp, ensuring that facilities, staff, and programmes operate safely, efficiently, and to a consistently high standard.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Site Operations: Responsible for the daily running of the camp, including accommodation, facilities, schedules, and programme flow. Ensures that the site is prepared and ready for all incoming groups.
- Programme Delivery Coordination: Oversees on-site programme delivery, ensuring that activities run to schedule, staffing is allocated effectively, and delivery standards are maintained across programme areas.
- On-Site Leadership: Acts as the primary point of contact for visiting schools and group leaders. Maintains visibility on site and ensures a smooth and professional experience for all guests.

- Quality Assurance & Training Oversight (On-Site): Monitors the quality of programme delivery and ensures that activities are delivered in line with company standards, SOPs, and learning objectives. Supports the development of Senior Instructors through coaching, feedback, and on-the-job training. While the role may occasionally involve direct session delivery, the primary focus remains on maintaining overall site operations, staff performance, and delivery quality. Identifies performance gaps, training needs, or inconsistencies in delivery and escalates these to the Operations Manager where required.
- Safety & Welfare (On-Site): Ensures that safety procedures, safeguarding standards, and welfare protocols are implemented in practice. Monitors delivery and escalates concerns where required.

- Authority & Decision-Making: The Centre Manager has authority over the day-to-day operation of the site, ensuring programmes run effectively and safely while responding to changing operational requirements and real-time conditions. The role is responsible for allocating staff resources in line with programme plans, providing guidance, direction, and performance feedback to on-site teams, and escalating any operational, safety, welfare, or resource-related concerns to the Operations Manager where necessary.
