Role Summary

Edrees Medical Center is seeking a qualified and experienced Orthotist-Prosthetist to join our team in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating patients’ orthotic and prosthetic needs, designing and fabricating customized devices, and providing continuous care and support to enhance patient mobility, comfort, and overall quality of life.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The Orthotist/Prosthetist will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Evaluating, measuring, and assessing patients for appropriate orthotic and prosthetic devices based on physician prescriptions

• Designing and fabricating customized orthotic and prosthetic devices using precise patient measurements and impressions

• Interviewing patients to understand individual needs and explaining treatment plans clearly and professionally

• Constructing devices by hand or supervising fabrication performed by medical appliance technicians

• Instructing patients on the correct use, care, and maintenance of their devices

• Providing ongoing follow-up care, including adjustments, repairs, and modifications as treatment progresses

• Maintaining accurate patient records and documenting assessments and treatment plans

• Staying updated with the latest advancements in orthotic and prosthetic technologies

• Ordering and managing materials and supplies required for device fabrication

• Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and ethical practices

• Actively participating in consultations with physicians and healthcare professionals

• Supporting business development activities, including market intelligence, branding, promotions, and the introduction of new products
