Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Keep abreast of (re)insurance market developments and communicate to the team as appropriate.

Constantly monitor the markets in order to consider and communicate to the team any adjustments to appropriate placement strategy for Lockton.

Manage market relationships at both an operational and strategic level.

Remain consistent, available and have a can-do attitude towards clients, markets, and colleagues.

Understand clients risk profile, business needs and exposures to provide advice on coverage, programme pricing and retention strategy.

Identify the risk exposures and advise on insurance and risk management solutions in consultation with the Account Executive/Partner.

Obtain quotations for new business opportunities. Show structuring capabilities.

Provision of the day-to-day servicing of allocated renewal accounts and/or clients to support retention and development of the business.

Manage the provision and placement of (re)insurance renewals for clients in accordance with team strategy and Lockton procedures. Show re-structuring capabilities, where necessary.

Effective and timely management of all renewals to ensure completion by the due date.

Escalate any issues on ongoing new accounts, or renewals.

Preparation and issuance of appropriate coverage documentation, including wordings and placement slips within agreed contract certainty deadlines.

Assist with the resolution of account and client queries and/or service issues internally, with (re)insurers and other third-party providers as necessary.

Following completion of placement, ensure invoicing is done on agreed timescales in line with Lockton operating procedures and contract certainty requirements.

Initiate and attend client meetings and internal strategy meetings, where required.

Ensure production targets are achieved in line with expectations of the line manager and/or senior leadership team.

Manage and co-ordinate global insurance programmes, facilities and liaise with our producer network worldwide, if applicable.

Work closely with Lockton's retail team, in preparation of client proposals, and structuring insurance programs.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across various levels.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and responsiveness to client needs.
  • Ability to manage complex client portfolios and contribute to business development efforts.
  • Analytical thinking and initiative in resolving complex issues.
  • Ability to identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and contribute to cross-selling initiatives
  • Understanding of company strategy, values, and departmental goals.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks within the reinsurance industry and commitment to ethical standards.
