Responsibilities and Impact:

  • Lead and deliver consulting projects across transaction support, portfolio and asset evaluation, technical analysis, and economic modelling, ensuring high-quality outputs, on-time delivery, and budget discipline.
  • Manage and mentor project teams, overseeing day-to-day execution, quality control, and professional development while supporting Project Directors in client engagement.
  • Drive client engagement and trust, acting as a primary client interface to scope work, communicate insights, and build long-term relationships across diverse geographies and cultures.
  • Develop high-impact consulting deliverables, translating complex technical and analytical outputs into clear, compelling insights and executive-ready narratives.
  • Support business development and thought leadership, contributing to proposals, capability materials, and collaboration with research teams on market-facing content.
  • Advance innovation and IP development, leveraging enterprise data science, analytics, and Gen/Agentic AI capabilities to create enhanced deliverables, reusable tools, and scalable consulting assets.
  • Act as a strong team player, collaborating effectively across a wide range of stakeholders within S&P Global (consulting, research, product, data, and technology teams) to deliver integrated, high-impact client solutions.

Desired Candidate Profile

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Industry Expertise: 8+ years of energy and or management consulting, strategic planning, industry, or analytics experience with energy related experience
  • Professional Background: Prior oil and gas technical experience strongly preferred
  • Education: A bachelor, or master s degree (or equivalent degree) in engineering (chemical / reservoir / geological), economics, or energy related technical field.
  • Strong technical and analytical capability: including field development planning, concept-level cost estimation, project economics and fiscal analysis, and advanced data analytics (e.g. Power BI, Python/R, Excel, Databricks), with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, decision ready insights.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, with strong prioritization and time management abilities in fast-paced environments.
  • Client-Focused Approach: A proactive, solution-seeking attitude including flexibility and ability to travel to client locations across EMEA.
