Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control project costs including materials, labor, subcontractors, and overheads.

  • Compare actual costs with budgeted costs and identify variances.

  • Prepare periodic project cost reports (weekly / monthly).

  • Assist in preparing project budgets and cost forecasts.

  • Analyze cost variances and provide explanations and recommendations.

  • Track project profitability and margin analysis.

  • Review and verify supplier and subcontractor invoices related to project costs.

  • Ensure proper cost allocation to projects within the accounting system.

  • Coordinate with Procurement, Engineering, and Project Management teams regarding project expenditures.

  • Monitor material usage and coordinate with warehouse and procurement teams

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make strategic recommendations.

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in cost accounting or financial analysis within a manufacturing environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a strong foundation in cost accounting principles.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
