Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Prepare detailed should-cost models using:
- Raw material costng (PP, ABS, PC, steel, aluminum, foam, fabric, glass, etc.)
- Process cos ng (Injection molding, blow molding, thermoforming, stamping, welding, pain ng, assembly)
- Tooling cost (Molds, dies, fixtures, jigs)
- Overhead & margin modeling
Conduct weight-based and feature-based cost calculations using CAD data.
Use 3D models in Siemens NX for:
- Volume calculation
- Thickness study
- Feature complexity assessment
Maintain cost databases and commodity benchmarks.
Supplier Quote Analysis
- Analyze supplier RFQ submissions.
- Compared:
- Material price variance
- Process assumptions
- Cycle time
- Tool amortization
- Localization benefits
Prepare gap analysis between:
- Supplier quote vs. Should cost
Present findings to procurement for nego a on strategy.
Negotiation & Procurement Support
Provide cost logic breakdown during supplier negotiations
Desired Candidate Profile
BE/B.Tech in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in the Automotive industry
- Experience with SAP / Teamcenter
- Preferred experience in OEM companies
- Ability to work onsite
- Availability for Regular Day Shift (Sunday to Thursday)
