Counsellor Soft Touch Education

The Counsellor is responsible for providing emotional, psychological, and guidance support to individuals to help them cope with personal, academic, or professional challenges. The role involves assessing client needs, conducting counselling sessions, maintaining records, and promoting mental well-being through structured interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group counselling sessions

• Assess emotional, behavioural, academic, or career-related concerns

• Provide guidance, coping strategies, and action plans to clients

• Maintain accurate and confidential counselling records

• Identify high-risk cases and refer to appropriate professionals when required

• Conduct workshops, awareness programs, and mental health sessions

• Follow ethical standards and confidentiality guidelines

• Coordinate with parents, teachers, doctors, or management when necessary

• Monitor progress and provide follow-up support

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or related field

• Certification in counselling or therapy (preferred)

• Strong listening, empathy, and communication skills

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

• Problem-solving and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency in documentation and reporting

Experience

• Freshers or 1–3 years of relevant counselling experience (as per requirement)
