Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Architecture: Design enterprise-wide data strategies, including the implementation of data lakes, warehouses, and master data management (MDM) frameworks.
  • Data Governance & Compliance: Develop and enforce policies for data handling and sharing. Ensure full compliance with local and international regulations (e.g., UAE Data Protection Law, GDPR, PDPL).
  • Data Quality Assurance: Formulate techniques for quality data collection to ensure the adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy of all data sets.
  • Security & Protection: Devise and implement secure procedures for data handling and analysis with attention to technical aspects like encryption, access control, and breach prevention.
  • Reporting & Visualization: Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex data into actionable insights through dashboards (Power BI/Qlik).
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of data analysts and database administrators, fostering a data-driven culture across the department.
  • Develop and implement data management policies and procedures
  • Design, maintain, and optimize databases and data systems
  • Oversee data collection, storage, backup, and recovery processes
  • Perform data analysis and generate reports for management
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to meet data needs
  • Monitor performance of data systems and troubleshoot issues
  • Ensure data integrity, quality, and security compliance
  • Manage data governance frameworks and documentation

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field
  • 3 7 years of experience in data management within Insurance domain
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and database technologies (e.g., MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database)
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Microsoft Power BI , Qlik)
  • Understanding of data governance and data security standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities
