Those data-driven experts know that better people and machines are the most effective way of managing conduct risk.We re looking for an experienced Data Protection Officer who can help us in setting, delivering, and embedding Revolut s data protection and privacy strategy in the UAE.Someone who's excited to work in a fast-paced environment, advancing the adoption of our group policy, procedures, risk, and control frameworks across the company.If joining a global fintech with an ever-increasing portfolio of innovative features seems interesting to you, let s get in touch.What You'll Be DoingSetting Revolut UAE s data protection and privacy strategy through the design of policies, procedures, and standardised risks and controls, and overseeing their implementationOverseeing 1LoD s management of data protection, privacy risks, and controlsDelivering training programmes to embed and enhance data protection and privacy awareness throughout the organisationReporting to Revolut UAE s Head of Compliance, executive committee, and Board Risk and Compliance Committee on the effectiveness of the data protection and privacy programmeMonitoring the handling of data subject rights requests by Revolut s central DPO support teamLiaising with the group's DPO team on broader data protection initiatives and frameworksLiaising with key internal (Legal, Risk, etc.) and external (UAE regulators, advisors, vendors, partners, etc.) stakeholders as requiredWhat You'll NeedExperience as a Data Protection Officer, with demonstrable experience in UAE data protection laws, regulations, rules, and guidanceA track record of successfully engaging with UAE regulatorsKnowledge and experience of regulatory requirements relating to data protection and privacyThe ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple projects at once with close attention to detail, and meet tight deadlinesAn understanding of the interplay between compliance risk and business riskA solution-oriented mindset for complex privacy and data protection problemsThe ability to communicate positively with members of various internal teams and regulatorsDemonstrated sound judgementSolid analytical, communication, and interpersonal skillsThe ability to provide clear and concise advice promptly in ambiguous situationsNice to haveAdditional privacy and data protection qualificationsExperience in coding (SQL, Python, Java)Previous experience advising in fintech and paymentsExperience advising on innovative, customer-oriented featuresExperience working on regulatory investigations and dealing with breach investigationsKnowledge of international data transfer requirements, restrictions, and solutionsExperience in compliance risk management within a consultancy, compliance function, or regulatorBuilding a global financial super app isn t enough.
