Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Department Definition:
The Applied and Continuous Education Department is one of the departments of Curriculum and Assessment Sector at the Ministry of Education. Its primary role is to develop the applied education system and promote the concept of lifelong learning. The department is responsible for developing applied curricula, aligning learning outcomes with higher education requirements and labor market needs, and establishing policies, standards, and assessment frameworks for applied education pathways to enhance students practical and professional.
Main Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop policies, standards, operational guidelines, and frameworks for Applied and Continuous Education across all stages of education, in coordination with relevant entities, and oversee their implementation.
- Develop and review the National Learning Standards Framework for Applied and Continuous Education curricula, and establish the general framework for assessing student learning in applied subjects in alignment with the approved vision, strategic directions, and targets, in coordination with relevant sectors and organizational units within the Ministry.
- Develop and review curricula and educational resources related to applied subjects to enhance students practical and creative skills.
- Align Applied and Continuous Education curricula and learning outcomes with the requirements and standards of higher education, academic pathways, and the labor market, in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare operational guidelines and pilot Applied and Continuous Education curricula and programs in coordination with the relevant sectors and departments.
- Develop programs and initiatives that support lifelong learning, including life and vocational skills for students, in collaboration with local and international partners.
- Establish assessment frameworks and develop the necessary evaluations to measure student performance within the Applied and Continuous Education curriculum pathway.
- Undertake any other tasks related to the nature of the department s work or those assigned by the Assistant Undersecretary for the Curriculum and Assessment Sector.

Desired Candidate Profile
Academic Qualifications :
- A Bachelor s degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Technical and Vocational Education, Educational Policy, or a related field.
- A Master s or PhD in Education, Curriculum Development, Technical and Vocational Education, or Educational Policy is preferred.
Professional Experience:
- Minimum 8 10 years of experience in education, curriculum development, applied or vocational education, or educational policy.
- Experience in designing and developing curricula and educational programs aligned with labor market needs.
- Experience in developing educational policies, standards, and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience in assessment design and learning outcomes measurement.
- Experience in managing education projects and coordinating with government entities, educational institutions, and international partners.
