Overview

The Director of OT Cybersecurity (Service Delivery) is responsible for building, directing and growing the CPX Operational Technology Cyber Security Practice, and for successful delivery of OT Cybersecurity engagements. The Director is expected to be a thought leader in the field of OT cyber security, building reputation, establishing credibility and attracting new business for the company, with proven experience in OT security projects.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership across OT opportunity pursuits and projects:

  • OT/IoT/IIoT cyber security consulting and advisory.
  • Technical architecture and implementation.
  • Research and development.
  • Client engagement and consulting.
  • Lead executive briefings, client workshops, and training sessions.
  • Develop structured presentations, reports, and consulting deliverables for various stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT security, compliance, red teaming, incident response and SOC operations, to build holistic OT Cyber Security solutions.

Build, Manage And Grow The OT Practice

  • Establish the CPX OT Cyber Security practice around Consulting, Design and Implementation.
  • Actively manage the practice to exceed agreed KPI metrics (includes financial, client satisfaction, staff satisfaction, etc.).
  • Assemble/Develop/Evangelize the identified services portfolio.
  • Support business opportunities with the commercial OT Cyber Security team with relevant pursuits.
  • Establish partnerships with relevant third parties to support the practice (both vendor and services-based entities).
  • Support the scouting and hiring of the required team members for the OT Cyber Security practice.
  • Establish training plans to develop existing resources so they may support the growing practice.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, mentor staff, and drive performance in a fast-paced consulting environment.
  • Ability to lead highly skilled OT Cyber Security staff.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to assess complex cybersecurity challenges and develop strategic, data-driven solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Proficient in both written and verbal communication, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Skilled in delivering impactful presentations to executive audiences, clients, and at industry events.
  • Track record of supporting sales teams in generating demand, identifying opportunities, assisting in proposals, and delivering compelling value propositions to prospective clients.
  • Track record of leading successful complex OT Cyber Security engagements.

Technical Expertise

  • Deep knowledge of IT/OT/ICS/SCADA cyber security principles, architectures, and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial automation and control systems (DCS, PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, Historian, etc.) from multiple vendors.
  • Strong expertise in OT network security, segmentation, and industrial protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, OPC-UA, PROFINET, Ethernet/IP, etc.).
  • Experience with OT cyber security solutions such as:
    • Network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS, anomaly detection).
    • Endpoint security (industrial antivirus, application whitelisting).
    • Secure remote access (jump servers, data diodes, zero-trust models).
    • Hands-on knowledge of threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and incident response in OT/IoT/IIoT environments.
    • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (IEC 62443, NIST 800-82, NERC CIP, ISA 99, TSA Security Directives, etc.).
    • Experience with OT SOC implementation and security monitoring.
    • Knowledge of cloud security and edge computing for IIoT environments is a plus.
Minimum Work Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in managing teams in complex environments
  • Demonstrable experience in building and leading an OT practice for a recognised OT service provider
