Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Director of QAQC provides strategic leadership for the company's Quality Assurance and Quality Control function across all projects. This executive-level role establishes quality culture, systems, and frameworks that ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and ISO standards throughout the UAE operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the company's quality management strategy, policies, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Establish and maintain the company's ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

  • Lead and develop the QAQC department including Senior Engineers, Engineers, and Inspectors.

  • Oversee audit programmes, ITPs, NCR management, and quality reporting across all active projects.

  • Engage with clients, consultants, and UAE regulatory authorities on quality-related matters.

  • Review and approve project quality plans, inspection and test plans, and method statements.

  • Implement lessons-learned processes and root cause analysis frameworks.

  • Report quality KPIs to senior management and board level.


Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.

  • 18–25 years of construction industry experience with 5+ years as QAQC Director at a Tier 1 UAE contractor.

  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification (mandatory).

  • In-depth knowledge of UAE authority quality requirements and construction standards.

  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
