Director- Quality Control

The Director of Quality Control will spearhead the strategic implementation of QC 1000, the IAASB s new quality management standard, across the our clients audit and assurance practices in the UAE and broader Middle East region. This role demands a visionary leader with deep technical expertise, regulatory insight, and change management capabilities to embed a robust system of quality management aligned with global best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end implementation of QC 1000, ensuring compliance with IAASB standards and local regulatory frameworks.
• Develop and execute a regional quality management strategy, integrating risk assessment, governance, and performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with global and regional leadership to align QC 1000 with firm-wide audit methodologies and internal controls.
• Oversee the design and rollout of quality objectives, risk responses, and monitoring activities across all service lines.
• Establish and maintain quality indicators and dashboards to track performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Conduct training and awareness programs for partners, managers, and staff on QC 1000 principles and procedures.
• Liaise with regulators, professional bodies, and internal audit teams to ensure transparency and accountability.
• Lead internal inspections and root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Report regularly to the Board and Executive Committee on quality metrics, risks, and strategic outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience

• ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in audit and assurance, with at least 5 years in a senior quality or risk leadership role.
• Proven track record of implementing quality management systems in a regulated audit environment.
• Deep understanding of IAASB standards, especially ISQM 1 and QC 1000.
• Experience working in multinational audit firms or Big Four environments preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in English
