Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

As an EK ULD Agent, you will support the management of Unit Load Devices (ULDs), including horse stalls and related accessory requirements of Emirates Airline at DXB and DWC station. Ensure all ULD movements and accessory utilisation is recorded accurately in the Nomad system (ULD inventory management system) and /or other applicable database.

In this role, you will;

  • Coordinate with dnata ULD services and Skycargo Operations at both DXB and DWC to ensure availability of sufficient servicable ULDs for daily operational needs of Emirates Airline.
  • Timely update NOMAD system records of all ULD movements to ensure station stock records are maintained accurately to support further ULD planning actions.
  • Support the timely return of leased and foreign airline ULDs arriving DXB and DWC by coordinating quick breakdown and stack build up as planned by the ULD Officer.
  • Carry out Ramp rounds at DXB and DWC to monitor handling and storage of Emirates ULDs, ensuring all malpractices are brought immediately to the attention of the concerned section to control incidents involving difficulties in aircraft loading, aircraft safety and ULD repair costs.
  • Follow up on the Horse stall requirements, including inspections, cleaning and disinfection (C&D), obtaining the C&D certification and providing units in time at both DWC and DXB airports as per planning actions advised.
  • Support in the management of special purpose ULDs ensuring the units are inspected for serviceability and available for operations or positioning as planned.
  • Support the management of ULD accessories i.e. lashing belts, car kits, spider nets, valuable boxes,corner ropes, net repair kits maintaining usage reports and following up on recovery of overstock from stations where applicable.
  • Support the tracing of missing ULDs by carrying out physical checks at both DXB and DWC airport as requested by the Inventory Coordinator.

Desired Candidate Profile

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below;

  • 3+ Years in Airport Operations.Other
  • 10 Years schooling or equivalent
  • Must have knowledge of ULD specifications and baggage handling.
  • Must be familiar with basic aircraft safey/security practices
  • Must have a valid UAE Driving licence
