Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Direct daily activities of housekeeping and laundry, maintaining strict hygiene and brand standards.

Regularly inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas for cleanliness and maintenance needs.

Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate housekeeping supervisors and crew members.

Maintain inventory of supplies, linens, and cleaning equipment, ordering replacements as needed, and managing the department budget.

Collaborate with the front office and maintenance teams to ensure prompt room readiness and address repairs.

Respond to guest requests and complaints, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Knowledge of cleaning materials and safety regulations.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience: Previous housekeeping experience, often 2+ years in a supervisory role in the hospitality industry.

Education: High school diploma, often with a college degree or certificate in hospitality management.

Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate, coach, and manage a team to meet high standards.

Physical Stamina: Capacity to stand for long periods and, if necessary, perform housekeeper duties.
