Responsibilities:

  • Utilize sales techniques that optimize revenue while maintaining existing Marriott guest loyalty, including the upselling technique.
  • Determine and award gifts to guests as a thank you for being our customers (e.g. reward points, show tickets, gift certificates).
  • Promote brand image awareness both internally and externally.
  • Process requests to cancel Marriott Rewards program points.
  • Process all room reservations, requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail.
  • Enter Marriott Rewards program information using the appropriate software when taking guest reservations.
  • To attend to, register and process all calls, requests, questions or concerns from guests.
  • Perform general office tasks to support Sales and Marketing (e.g., filing, sending emails, transcribing information, sending faxes).
  • Assist management in training and motivating employees; serve as an example.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, ensure that the uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional, maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
  • Greet and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards; anticipate their service needs and attend to them, and thank them with genuine appreciation.
  • Speak to others using clear and professional language, prepare and review written documents accurately and completely, and answer telephones using the appropriate protocol.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with others; support the team in achieving common goals; listen to and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
  • Monitor the performance of others to ensure they meet expectations and quality standards.
  • Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects that weigh 10 pounds or less without assistance.
  • Perform other reasonable work duties requested by supervisors.

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent certificate from a General Educational Development (GED) program.
  • At least 2 years of related work experience.
