The position reports to the School Operations Manager and supports the Operations Department in delivering high-quality facilities services across the school. The role may require occasional after-hours and weekend work for events or emergencies, and will involve regular interaction with students, staff, parents, and external contractors.

Responsibilities:
Supervise the SZPAB Facilities and Maintenance Support team.
Assist the Operations Manager in reviewing the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule and supervise completion of tasks and activities.
Provide daily progress reports to the Operations Manager on ongoing projects, tasks, activities, and issues.
Oversee the smooth operation of air conditioning and electrical equipment through daily and preventive maintenance checks.
Carry out maintenance service requests and maintain daily checklists and records in MaintainX.
Supervise contractors performing preventive and corrective maintenance and coordinate with subcontractors providing contracted services.
Raise material requests to ensure uninterrupted availability of spare parts.
Undertake general maintenance, repairs, renovation tasks, and troubleshooting (including electrical and technical issues) as required.
Assist in preparation and support for school events, transportation, and delivery requirements when needed.
Collaborate with designers, engineers, and other team members to ensure smooth execution of maintenance and operational duties.
Take part in risk assessments, OSH programs, and emergency drills/training; report hazards immediately and work proactively to resolve them.
Adhere to occupational health and safety guidelines at all times.
Experience and Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in facilities supervision or facilities management, preferably in the education sector or similar environments.
Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) and general maintenance practices.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations and the ability to conduct risk assessments.
Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to supervise teams and contractors effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience using facilities management systems (e.g., MaintainX) is an advantage.
