Finance Manager Location: Dubai (Remote)Experience: 8 10 years in senior finance rolesClient: Confidential - Travel Startup Role SummaryWe are seeking an accomplished Finance Manager with strong fundraising and strategic finance experience to join a high-potential startup in the travel space. This role goes beyond traditional finance operations; you will be the financial backbone of the business, shaping the growth journey, driving investor engagement, and enabling the leadership team to make commercially sound decisions. Alongside strategy, you will manage accounting, reporting, taxation and compliance, ensuring the company is built on a strong financial foundation.Key Responsibilities1. Fundraising & Capital StrategyDevelop and execute fundraising strategies across equity, venture debt, and alternative financing instruments.Build and maintain a strong investor pipeline (VCs, angel networks, strategic partners, family offices).Prepare compelling investment decks, detailed financial models, and business plans to support capital raising.Lead investor due diligence processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial and operational data.Manage post-fundraise reporting and communication with stakeholders.2. Financial Planning, Analysis & ReportingDrive budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.Develop financial models to evaluate new initiatives, pricing, and expansion strategies.Track company performance against KPIs and provide actionable insights to leadership.Deliver accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports.Establish dashboards and metrics for real-time performance monitoring.3. Commercial & Strategic PartneringWork closely with founders to evaluate new revenue streams, partnerships, and business models.Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers, travel partners, technology vendors, and service providers.Structure pricing models and revenue-sharing agreements that balance profitability and growth.Provide strategic input on global expansion, market entry, and unit economics.4. Accounting, Reporting & TaxationOversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to IFRS/local GAAP.Implement efficient bookkeeping processes and financial systems suitable for a startup scaling rapidly.Prepare statutory accounts and management reports for internal and external stakeholders.Manage direct and indirect taxation (VAT, corporate tax, withholding taxes) across multiple jurisdictions.Liaise with auditors and tax consultants to ensure timely filings and compliance.Monitor changes in accounting/tax regulations in UAE and other operating regions, ensuring proactive compliance.Establish strong internal controls and policies to safeguard assets and prevent financial risks.5. Leadership & Stakeholder ManagementAct as a trusted partner to the founders and senior leadership team.Mentor and grow a future finance team to support scaling.Represent the company s financial position to external stakeholders (banks, auditors, legal advisors).Drive alignment between business objectives and financial sustainability.Requirements8 10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.Proven track record in fundraising (equity and debt) and investor relations.Strong expertise in accounting, reporting, and taxation within international contexts.Demonstrated experience with financial planning, commercial negotiations, and systems implementation.Previous experience in a startup, scale-up, or high-growth environment (travel/tech/e-commerce preferred).Professional qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent) strongly preferred.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to operate in an unstructured, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.Comfortable working remotely while aligning with Dubai-based leadership.Why JoinOpportunity to join an innovative travel startup at an inflection point of growth.Lead both strategic fundraising and core finance operations.Shape the company s global expansion by ensuring financial discipline and investor confidence.Partner closely with visionary founders and leadership team.Remote-first flexibility.
