Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Finance Manager oversees all financial operations, reporting, and fiscal strategies specifically

tailored to high-volume rental transaction flows. This role focuses on optimizing day-to-day rental

cash flow, managing working capital, and processing high volumes of rental invoices and vendor

payments. While you will monitor overall operational profitability, this position concentrates on

transaction-heavy financial workflows, short-term contract revenue recognition, and counter-level

billing audit trails.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

for rental operations.

  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor daily cash inflows from counter transactions and outflows

for rental operations.

  • Audit Billing Workflows: Oversee the reconciliation of daily rental contracts, damage

waivers, and deposit returns.

  • Manage Working Capital: Optimize liquidity to support immediate purchasing needs, sub

rentals, and operational expenses.

  • Internal Controls: Implement and enforce strict credit control policies for commercial rental

accounts.

  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop short-term operational budgets and rolling cash forecasts

based on rental utilization trends.

  • Tax & Compliance: Ensure compliance with local business taxes, payroll, and industry

specific transactional regulations.

  • Vendor & Customer Relations: Resolve complex billing disputes with major commercial

clients and short-term equipment suppliers.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration; CPA or

CMA designation preferred.

  • Experience: 3–5 years of finance experience, ideally within a high-volume retail, equipment

rental, or logistics environment.

  • Rental Metrics Knowledge: Understanding of transactional rental metrics such as dollar

utilization, time utilization, and ancillary revenue tracking.

  • Analytical Skills: Advanced data analysis capabilities to identify margin leaks in short-term

rental pricing and overhead costs.

  • Software Proficiency: High expertise in MS Excel and direct experience with major

accounting software or integrated rental management ERPs.
