Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Fluting Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining, and adjusting roller mill fluting machines used in wheat and grain milling. The role ensures proper grinding performance, roll alignment, and fluting accuracy to achieve consistent flour quality and optimal milling efficiency. The ideal candidate must have experience in wheat/grain milling or similar industrial food processing environments.
Responsibilities:
Operate fluting machines and roller mills used in wheat and grain milling.
Perform setting, adjustment, and alignment of fluted rolls according to production requirements.
Monitor milling performance and ensure consistent flour quality output.
Inspect roll wear, fluting condition, and coordinate re-fluting or replacement when required.
Adjust machine parameters to control particle size, extraction rate, and product quality.
Desired Candidate Profile
High school diploma or technical qualification preferred.
2–5 years of experience in wheat milling, flour mills, grain processing, or similar food manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of roller mills, fluting systems, and grinding processes.
Experience in adjusting and maintaining mill rolls is mandatory.
Familiarity with wheat varieties and milling behavior is an advantage.
Understanding of flour quality parameters (ash, protein, extraction rate).
Ability to work in a continuous production/mill environment.
