Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor food safety and hygiene policies across all production and service areas.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure that materials, tanks, and equipment are clean, sanitized, and operating properly.
- Perform routine testing and analysis of raw materials, water, and final products to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, ISO 22000, and local food safety regulations.
- Coordinate with external public health and hygiene service companies that provide pest control, germ control, food safety, hygiene, and scenting services.
- Maintain detailed documentation and reports of inspections, testing, audits, and corrective actions.
- Train staff on food handling, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
- Investigate any food safety concerns and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to ensure adherence to safety and hygiene standards.
- Stay updated on new technologies, standards, and regulatory requirements in food safety.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Food Safety and Quality Management or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in food safety and quality control.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, and related food safety systems.
- ISO certification or equivalent food safety/hygiene certification is preferred.
- Experience in managing sanitation procedures, conducting testing, and coordinating with public health and pest control companies.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to train and lead teams effectively.
