Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Editorial Assistant / Admin to support the seamless execution of large-scale print projects such as special reports, big lists, and commercial magazines. This contract-based position acts as a crucial liaison between the editorial and commercial teams, ensuring that all client-facing content is delivered on time, to spec, and to the highest editorial standards.
The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, meticulous proofreader, and confident administrator who thrives in fast-paced publishing environments.
Requirements
- Act as the main point of contact between the Commercial team, Editorial team, and paying clients for all assigned print projects.
- Manage and streamline commercial communications, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and timely follow-ups.
- Collate, cross-check, and verify client-submitted content, ensuring alignment with editorial guidelines and house style.
- Proofread and fact-check big lists and special reports, identifying inconsistencies or errors in company data, profiles, or rankings.
- Track and manage content versions, approvals, and deadlines, ensuring all stakeholders are working from the most up-to-date documents.
- Maintain organised records of client submissions, editorial changes, and approvals across platforms (email, shared folders, CMS, etc.).
- Support the Editorial team with light research, data gathering, and administrative duties related to commercial features.
- Ensure professional and timely communication with clients regarding missing information, clarification requests, and publishing timelines.
Skills & Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; exceptional attention to detail.
- Solid proofreading and fact-checking abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive), Microsoft Office, and shared platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Notion, Trello, or similar).
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and diplomatically between departments.
- Strong organisational skills and a proactive attitude.
