Roles & Responsibilities

Missions:

The Front Office Manager is responsible for coordinating the efforts of the front desk department to maintain optimal occupancy and revenue, while ensuring attentive service to guests.

Main responsibilities:

  • Welcomes the customer and contributes, through a warm relationship, to their loyalty
  • Builds excellent relationships throughout their stay to help build loyalty
  • Supervises the operational activities of the reception
  • Manages budgets based on occupancy rates and forecasts, develops staff schedules accordingly
  • Implements guidelines, policies and procedures for supervised operational departments
  • Drives activities and creates a work environment conducive to the achievement of objectives
  • Manages performance issues that arise within supervised operational departments
  • Is an integral part of the operations team, attends and actively contributes to all scheduled meetings
  • Interviews and selects, trains, evaluates, supervises, advises and disciplines department managers and employees in accordance with company criteria
  • Ensures optimal compliance with the group's audit strategy
  • Communicates effectively with team members
  • Meets daily with team members to discuss key current activities
  • Ensures compliance with local health and safety regulations
  • Anticipates and resolves customer issues and implements proactive processes to promote customer satisfaction
  • Is a source of inspiration for all hotel staff to encourage them to deliver performances worthy of a luxury establishment
  • Interacts positively with other departments to ensure guests receive the welcome expected of a luxury establishment

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position within a luxury structure.

Fluency in English and French is required; additional languages ​​are a plus

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

Ability to train team members and develop their skills

Ability to work effectively in a team and sense of initiative

Excellent organizational skills

Good command of the Opera system
