Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Assist employees with internal and external transfer applications and procedures.
Monitor and assist managers/supervisors with hiring processes and problems.
Coordinate and conduct drug tests, reference checks, background checks, motor vehicle department checks, and social security number verification.
Maintain records of applicant flow, drug tests, orientation and transfer requests.
Create and maintain files of new employees and staff and enter them into the Human Resources computer systems.
Assist with the orientation of new employees.
Monitor all hiring processes to ensure they comply with all local, state, and federal laws and company policies and standards.
Ensure accurate maintenance of all employee records and files (e.g., interview documents, I-9).
Support the processing and maintenance of records for n mines in accordance with policies and procedures, as needed.
Inform Human Resources managers about issues related to employee relations within the division, not the ownership.
Create and maintain file systems.
Generate HR data reports as needed, answer the phone, and record messages.
Create and type correspondence using a computer.
Serve as an expert in Human Resources and participate in project teams.
Train new employees on Human Resources processes, programs, policies, information systems, etc.
Obey all company policies and procedures, ensure that both your uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, and maintain the privacy of company information.
Speak to others using clear and professional language, prepare and review written documents accurately and promptly, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support the team in achieving common goals, and listen to and respond appropriately to the problems of other employees.
Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place without assistance objects that weigh 10 pounds (4.5 kg) or less.
Perform other reasonable work duties requested by supervisors.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent certificate from a General Educational Development (GED) program.
Related work experience n:
At least 1 year of related work experience.
Experience as a supervisor:
No supervisory experience is required.
License or certification:
None
