Roles & Responsibilities

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Governance Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to define and maintain the governance framework and oversee structures

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Define and maintain the governance framework.

  • Establish and oversee governance structures, decision authorities, and Terms of Reference.

  • Establish standardized codification structures.

  • Ensure decisions are evidence based, controlled, and auditable.

  • Integrate governance with assurance and audit to support transparency, compliance, and risk management.

  • Establish and maintain configuration management for governance frameworks and artefacts, ensuring version control, traceability, and controlled change.

  • Act as the primary interface with Internal and External Audit, ensuring continuous audit readiness.

  • Track and drive closure of governance, assurance, and audit findings.

  • Monitor governance effectiveness and drive continual improvement using quality management principles.

  • Executive leadership, Assurance (Quality/HSSE/ICT), and Audit, Risk and Compliance, Program and Portfolio leadership.

Key Deliverables

  • Quality based governance framework and operating model

  • Delegations of Authority and decision matrices

  • Committee structures and Terms of Reference

  • Assurance plans and governance reporting

  • Audit evidence and management responses

Success Measures

  • Clear and timely decision making

  • Positive assurance and audit outcomes

  • Reduced repeat findings and systemic issues

  • High level of professional independence and judgement

  • Strong stakeholder and executive engagement capability

  • Ability to balance governance rigor with operational pragmatism

  • Proven experience establishing and operating governance frameworks.

  • Direct experience interfacing with Internal Audit and External Audit, including audit preparation, execution, and response management.

  • Experience managing assurance and audit findings through corrective action and continual improvement.

  • Demonstrated experience operating in complex, regulated, or large-scale program environments.
