Job Title: Group Head of Innovation and Technology

Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer

Strategic Leadership

• Design and implement a transformative innovation and technology masterplan that is globally benchmarked and future-proof.

• Position QE Global Schools as a global leader in digitally enhanced, personalised, and immersive learning.

• Anticipate and harness emerging technology trends, from AI and machine learning to quantum computing and blockchain, to maintain competitive advantage.

• Ensure every innovation directly advances our educational mission and delivers measurable gains in student achievement and engagement.

Technology Integration

• Create a seamlessly connected digital ecosystem integrating learning management systems (LMS), student information systems (SIS), and advanced analytics platforms.

• Lead the deployment of adaptive learning technologies that respond to each student s needs in real time.

• Negotiate and manage large-scale contracts for 1:1 student device programmes, overseeing the seamless integration of devices into teaching and learning, ensuring cost-effective procurement, robust technical specifications, and long-term value to enhance learning across the curriculum.

• Introduce immersive XR (VR/AR/MR) experiences, digital twins, and gamified learning environments across the curriculum.

Innovation and Development

• Establish innovation hubs and centres of excellence within our schools to incubate, test, and scale high-impact initiatives.

• Champion cutting-edge disciplines such as robotics, AI ethics, cyber-physical systems, and sustainability- focused technology projects.

• Oversee the development of a global esports programme that integrates competitive gaming with STEAM, digital entrepreneurship, and global collaboration, providing pathways into qualifications, higher education and the professional esports industry.

• Ensure technology-driven approaches meet the needs of diverse learners, including EAL, SEND, and high- achieving students.

Governance and Accountability

• Develop a governance framework for responsible, ethical, and sustainable innovation.

• Define and track ambitious KPIs that measure both educational and operational impact.

• Manage significant investment portfolios in technology to achieve the greatest return on educational value.

Staff Development and Support

• Deliver global professional learning programmes that redefine digital fluency for educators.

• Mentor leaders and teachers to design and deliver technology-rich, high-engagement learning experiences.

• Embed a culture of experimentation and knowledge- sharing across the organisation.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

• Forge partnerships with world-leading technology companies, research institutions, and education innovators.

• Represent QE Global Schools on global stages, influencing discourse on the future of education and technology.

The Person

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor s degree in Education, Computer Science, IT, Innovation or related discipline; Master s degree preferred.

• Senior leadership experience in global education technology innovation, ideally within multi-site or international school contexts.

• Proven record of leading large-scale, complex digital transformation projects with measurable educational impact.

• Deep expertise in AI, immersive technologies, data analytics, esports programme development, and learning ecosystem design.

• Strong understanding of differentiated learning, accessibility, and inclusive design for diverse global learner groups.
