Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
This position will take ownership of the firm s compliance framework, ensuring robust management of regulatory obligations and adherence to UAE regulatory requirements. The role will also play a key part in strengthening compliance oversight, supporting senior stakeholders, and maintaining effective relationships with regulators.
Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the compliance function, ensuring it operates effectively and in line with local regulatory expectations
- Manage and enhance the firm s compliance monitoring programme and regulatory reporting processes
- Provide leadership on conduct risk and customer protection matters across the business
- Act as the primary liaison with regulators and supervisory bodies
- Partner with senior management and board members on regulatory and compliance-related topics
- Develop and refine policies, procedures, and governance frameworks
- Support the ongoing build-out and maturity of the compliance function within a scaling organisation
Desired Candidate Profile
Requirements
Proven experience in a compliance leadership role within a regulated financial services environment (e.g. banking, fintech, payments, or e-money)
Track record of direct engagement with regulators
Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks, monitoring, reporting, and conduct risk
Ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and board-level audiences
Hands-on, pragmatic approach with experience operating in high-growth or evolving environments
