Roles & Responsibilities
Role Overview
The House Manager is responsible for overseeing the complete management of the private residence, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, supervision of domestic staff, vendor coordination, budgeting, and maintaining high standards of hospitality, discretion, and service excellence.
This role requires strong leadership, operational efficiency, and absolute confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
1. Household Operations Management
Oversee daily functioning of the residence.
Ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and upkeep of the property.
Supervise housekeeping, kitchen, drivers, security, and other domestic staff.
Develop and implement SOPs for household operations.
2. Staff Supervision & Administration
Recruit, train, schedule, and manage domestic staff.
Monitor staff performance and discipline.
Maintain attendance, payroll coordination, and leave records.
Ensure compliance with local labor regulations (if applicable).
3. Vendor & Facility Management
Coordinate with vendors for repairs, maintenance, AMC contracts, and utilities.
Manage relationships with service providers (electricity, water, landscaping, pest control, etc.).
Oversee renovation or refurbishment projects when required.
4. Budgeting & Financial Oversight
Prepare and manage household budgets.
Track monthly expenses and maintain financial records.
Negotiate contracts and ensure cost control.
Submit periodic expense reports to Principal/Family Office.
5. Hospitality & Guest Management
Coordinate guest arrivals, stays, and hospitality arrangements.
Manage event planning for private gatherings or official dinners.
Ensure VIP protocol and service standards.
6. Inventory & Asset Management
Maintain inventory of household supplies and luxury items.
Ensure proper storage and maintenance of valuables.
Track and manage household assets and documentation.
7. Security & Confidentiality
Coordinate with security personnel.
Ensure privacy and confidentiality of the Principal and family.
Maintain strict discretion in all matters.
Education & Experience
Graduate in Hotel Management / Hospitality / Business Administration preferred.
815 years of experience in luxury residence management / hotel operations / estate management.
Experience managing large residences or HNI families preferred.
International exposure (Middle East preferred for UAE roles).
