Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits (on-site and documentation) to identify hazards, unsafe practices, and noncompliance with regulations and company policies.

• Evaluate machinery, equipment, chemicals, personal protective equipment (PPE), work procedures and environmental controls for safety.
• Investigate work-related incidents, near misses and complaints; determine root causes; prepare incident reports and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
• Enforce legal and regulatory requirements: issue notices, improvement or prohibition orders when necessary and follow up to ensure compliance.
• Advise management and employees on risk control measures, safe work practices, emergency preparedness, and regulatory changes.
• Develop, review and help implement safety programs, policies, procedures and safe work permits (confined space, hot work, lockout/tagout, etc.).
• Deliver or coordinate safety training and toolbox talks for workers and supervisors.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, incident logs, and compliance documentation; prepare regular reports for management and regulatory agencies.
• Monitor corrective action implementation and track safety performance indicators.
• Participate in safety committees, risk assessments (e.g., JSA/Job Hazard Analysis), and occupational health surveillance activities.
