Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Implement and monitor the company's HSE policy to ensure the safety of people, the prevention of accidents and fires, environmental protection, and regulatory compliance, in accordance with agri-food and industrial requirements.
Health & Safety at Work
- Identify, assess, and control occupational risks (wheat dust, silos, machinery, handling, traffic). Develop and update the single risk assessment document (DUER).
- Define and follow the prevention plan and safety instructions.
- Organize training and awareness sessions for staff on safety and best practices.
- Monitor accidents and incidents, analyze the causes, and propose corrective actions.
Industrial hygiene and food safety
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, ISO 22000 and good hygiene practices (GHP) in all workshops.
- Collaborate with the quality manager for the management of internal and external audits.
- Monitor the cleanliness of production areas, air circuits, and pest management.
Environment & Sustainable Development
- Manage industrial and organic waste, ensuring its proper sorting, storage, and disposal.
- Supervise the management of wastewater, dust, and atmospheric emissions.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations (DREAL, ICPE, etc. files).
- Promote good energy practices and industrial efficiency.
Fire prevention and emergency management
- Implement and monitor the fire intervention plan (fire extinguishers, alarms, emergency exits).
- Supervise evacuation and rescue drills.
- Ensure the conformity of explosion and spark suppression systems in silos and hoppers.
Reporting and indicators _x000D_
- Implement an HSE dashboard (accidents, audits, training, anomalies).
- Prepare periodic reports for management and authorities if necessary.
- Participate in management reviews on HSE performance.
Managerials:
- Capacity to unite teams around a security culture.
- Rigour, method, and natural authority.
- Good communication and teaching skills with operators_x000D_
- Ability to work under pressure and meet regulatory deadlines.
- 5-10 years minimum in an industrial environment, ideally in the food industry
- Engineer or degree in HSE, industrial engineering, hygiene and safety, environment, or agri-food.
- Mastery of French, basic knowledge of technical English.
